Still Life
Moonlark is pleased to announce its 2009 Spring Production, Emily Mann's Still Life, directed by Ray Sibley. The show will be running in the Arts Council of Baton Rouge, located downtown, March 5-7 and March 12-14.
This is a play about a Viet Nam veteran who suffered PTSD from his wartime experiences. The consequences upon returning from the war and trying to re-integrate into society and normalcy are detailed in the stories told by himself, his wife, and a friend. This play is a docu-drama and the the characters are not fictional. The stories these three characters tell are drawn from interviews conducted by Emily Mann and compiled and arranged by her to create this work that won six Obie Awards.
